Welcome to the New Pathway!

Though still a considerable work in progress, the new online Pathway is here to keep the families of Mountain Pathways School in Boone, North Carolina informed of the latest and greatest...

Let's kick off the inaugural issue with some big news!! Just before I took over as Director, the school had to take out a $37,000 line of credit. Last week, we made the last payment and eliminated that debt! Now, we're just regular folks with a regular mortgage and great school to boot...

PTO news from Chair Julie B...
In an effort to accommodate schedules, the first PTO kick-off meeting will be Tuesday, September 14 from 11:45-1:00pm at the EarthFare Deli. We would love to see you there. If you can't make it, don't worry, we will have plenty of other meetings and the schedule can certainly be rearranged! Note to all: WE ARE SHORT 3-4 PEOPLE SO WE NEED YOU! Consider being part of the PTO this year!

• COLLECT THOSE BOX TOPS FROM YOUR GENERAL MILLS PRODUCTS. DROP OFF IS INSIDE THE MAIN DOOR OF THE CHILDREN'S HOUSE ON THE SHELF TO THE LEFT.

Also on the meeting horizon, Tuesday afternoon at 3 at the Norwood House, our architect, Bill Dixon will be discussing the construction needed at that building in order for us to get back into the upstairs and downstairs. Anyone who could contribute their skills to this construction effort is asked to attend.

The names of those of you who missed Parent Education Thursday night have been recorded, and you will be receiving a personal visit from the Montessori Enforcement Squad. Don't worry, their punishment methods are clear, concise and consistent, and never fail to encourage proper behavior the next time a similar situation arises. If you would like a copy of the Mountain Pathways Jeopardy game that you missed, I can email it to you.
